The Law Office of John J. Borsos


Born and raised in California, John attended the University of California at Berkeley and was admitted as a member of the California Bar Association in 1972. Just two years later, John moved to Utah and became a member of the Utah State Bar at that time. He worked for the Internal Revenue Service as a Estate and Gift Tax Attorney for over ten years before deciding to go into business for himself. In 1986, John ventured out on his own and has been successfully representing clients in their fight for Social Security Benefits ever since. John also concentrates his practice in the needs of the disabled including Social Security, Special Needs Trusts and in Trusts, Wills and Estate Planning and has served on the Board of Directors for the Salt Lake Estate Planning Council. John also wrote a column in the Utah Primetimes. John served on the Board of Directors for Alliance House, and is a member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants Representatives (NOSSCR) and National Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA).
John is married with three grown children and is now also enjoying a growing number of grandchildren.

Jackie is our office paralegal who handles all cases after the hearing. She prepares and works cases at the Appeals Council and Federal District Court levels. Jackie will answer all of your questions regarding benefits after your hearing. She also assists Mr. Borsos with all Estate Planning and Probate issues, including Special Needs Trusts.

Karen maintains our files and the file room. She assists with Federal Court filings as well as schedules all of our appointments to keep things running smoothly. Karen also does our mailings and purchasing. Although she is a very busy lady, Karen will take time out of her schedule to speak with our clients as she is compassionate and empathetic to their needs.

Cindy is the office Case Manager and handles the majority of disability cases through the Hearing level. Cindy screens new clients and helps them begin their quest for benefits. She follows clients throughout the lengthy process to ensure that John has the records and information he needs for the case to be successful.

Stacy is our receptionist and will be able to direct you to the correct person to answer all of your questions if she cannot do so herself. Stacy assists everyone in the office to make sure that our clients are taken care of.
